Great coffee from a pair of local heroes... Coffee fans; you can't go far wrong with Home Coffee, they hand select their beans from ethically sourced producers and make a great brew with it too, and if you can't get enough they've always got some behind the counter for you to take home.

A regular haunt of ours, the Bombay Express is an every-day value Indian with exceptional service. Open really really late, a far better option than the greasy kebab - and speaking from experience; they won't judge you for having a Curry, Naan, Rice, and Chips.

Arts & Culture

Visiting Portsmouth for the first time? You can't go far wrong with a trip to the Historic Dockyard, things to do when it's wet or dry. The Mary Rose exhibition is a must, newly refurbished, they've recently completed the preservation of King Henry VIII's greatest vessel. It's a good idea to book in advance, especially in the school holidays, it can get busy.

Parks & Nature

If you just want to relax on a sunny day, head down to Southsea Common, plenty of space, lovely green grass. Best to stay near the trees to avoid others' ball games and bag a quiet pitch.

Hit the beach when the weather is good... Our best advice is to head towards Eastney (East end of the beach), it tends to be quieter and people are more spread out.
