The area is called "NDSM"; here you can find a couple of nice places to eat, drink. You can also find a flee market (IJ-hallen) during some weekends. They often give big parties in the warehouses. It's quite artsy (lots of graffiti - good for instagram pictures) and you have an unique view of Central Station.
