This place is another old Irish pub that does great pub grub, if you're looking for a hearty lunch when you're fresh out of the sea or feeling a bit worse for wear after a heavy night, this is the place to go. They do a delicious roast lamb here too!

Cill Riallig is an arts centre set up any years ago and affiliated with the Cill Riallig artists retreat where artists and writers come from all over the world to stay for months at a time in a group of secluded cottages up in the mountains on the edge of the wildest most rugged spot of the atlantic ocean. It's definitely worth a visit, especially after a walk on the nearby Ballinaskelligs Beach where you can swin out to the ruins of an old castle! Be warned though, the cafe in the arts centre isn't up to much, however they have started doing wood fired pizzas which I have yet to try!

Skellig Micheal is a magnificent rock jutting out of the Atlantic Ocean, hundreds of years ago, monks settled on the island and built a stone path of steps up to the top where they built beehive huts in which they lived. They led a hermetic life growing vegetables on the side of the rock and praying amongst the birds and the wild atlantic ocean. This really is a magnificent trip, however, only certain licensed boats are allowed to land on the rock and sue to Star Wars featuring it in their most recent film, it has become wildly popular and therefore I urge you to book you visit now! The climb is dangerous as the stones are old and uneven so its important to wear suitable footwear!

This is Ireland's only church to be dedicated to a lay person, Daniel O'Connell the Liberator. It is ginormous in scale when you consider the size of the town that its in. Gothic-Revival in it's style, it is a magnificent feat of architecture which was built between 1886 and 1892 has recently been refurbished, the marble Daniel O'Connell's memorial stone was sent over as a gift from Pope Leo XIII.

This is a sub tropical fern forest, a sort of micro climate nestled in Kell's Bay where you'll find the rarest species of ferns. They also have magnificent gardens with beautiful wooden sculptures by local artists, have the longest rope bridge inn Ireland and have a delicious Thai restaurant! The place was bought by a couple a few years back who really transformed it, he's Irish, she's Thai (and a phenomenal cook) and you can be sure they'll take great care of you!

This is a great climb, a long walk but not too steep and the views at the top are spectacular! The ground can be a little rough in areas so be sure to bring suitable footwear, stick to the path which is easy to follow as it is an old Pilgrim's path following the stations of the cross, You can see the valley of Cahersiveen, the Fertha River, the Atlantic Ocean and all the surrounding rugged landscape for miles from the top of the mountain!
