Restaurants, Bars & Nightlife

Many of our bars and public houses offer entertainment in addition to lovely clean surroundings, great cuizine and friendly staff. My favourites are listed below, most of which are in easy walking distance from the AirBnB. Permission for restaurants and pubs to provide AlFresco dining has enhanced the rhythm of St Helier, St Aubins and Gorey - a growing development that has really helped local businesses, much aided by pedestrianisation. The adjustments from oubkic house to restaurant/bar seems to be winning the day now where traditional public houses had a hard knock through the credit crunch along with the bans on smoking inside...though we still have some good solid proper pubs in town too.
Fantastic Mexican food Restaurant on two floors with live music on the too floor including alfresco rooftop and great vibe with local and international musicians to help you breeze through lunch or steal the night with your favorite G&T, Vin, cocktail or a-quaint yourselves with CROSSTOWN’S OWN BREW! Be sure to put this venue on your Jersey wishlist menu!

Chambers, it's a busy bar/pub, divided into two sections, front for drinking and chatting, back for drinking and dancing to great array of local bands and artists. The bands start at 11:30pm and finish and 13:30pm. Variety of styles, go online and choose what suits you best.

Family Hotel, very good nightly entertainment in the Star Room managed for residents of the hotel, but also open to the public with small fee at door on busy nights. Great food in two restaurants, bookable in advance if not a resident, and piano lounge bar area upstairs, gardens, close to Howard Davis Farm on edge of St Helier.

https://www.lataverne.co.uk/ Amazing, fairly small restaurant near the Town Hall in St Helier, one to return to on every visit. its mix of Italian and French cuizine is second to none and the service impeccable - an unpretentious standard maintained since I first went there in 1983!

Cafes

Their coffee is SO GOOD. The owner goes to the places he buys from and gets into the raw beans. He knows all about them! He has another coffee bar in Halkett Street in the main town area off Queen Street.

Food by the Beach

Go where the locals go!!! It's on the edge of pier at Rozel overlooking the beach/bay/boats. They do the yummiest burgers, great chips, crab and prawn salads and sandwiches, double decker health wreckers, freshly baked cakes, real coffee, ice creams, have tables in the sunshine and some under cover for those windy days and can be reached by bus with a short walk along the beachfront to the final resting place and grub! There is parking but it's at a premium, still if you get there and can't park just hang around a bit, someone moves out, someone moves in!
