Sightseeing
Walk, bike or take the tram along the ring and you will see most of viennas famous buildings. Starting from Schottenring: main university, Rathaus - Hint: landtmann - famous austrian coffee house.
Then Burgtheater, parliament, via Volksgarten to Heldenplatz, Hofburg, St. Stephans Cathedral (about 7min walking), back to Hofburg via the two museums (Art and Nature) a sidestep to Museumsquartier and Volkstheater. Then back to the ring and see the famous opera house. Go to Leberkas Pepi for a snack, then get the traditional Viennese Sachertorte at the hotel Sacher behind the opera. Continue to stadtpark - if interested in classical music there are monuments for Johann Strauß and Schubert.

Mariahilferstraße is the most famous shopping mall. If you prefer smaller, hippster shops just explore the sidestreets!! Many nice little shops fi. Zieglergasse, Neubaugasse, Spittelberg.
