Best coffee in Ann Arbor, hands down. Good croissants and carrot cake as well. I like sitting down here with a book or to grade papers. The only downside is that it is not accessible (no elevator and is on the 2nd floor of Literati, a nice local bookstore).

It's not quite a restaurant and not quite a food stand. A nice Vietnamese stop owned by a friend of mine. Tasty banh mi sandwiches on bread they bake fresh every morning, summer rolls, and pho.

You can rent a standup paddle board, canoe, or tube and float around. If you like to run, there's a nice path around the pond as well. Also many nice trails up into Barton and Bird Hills area.
