If your looking to rent ski gear, get fitted for boots, ect. I highly recommend Rainbow mountain. They have some of the best boot fitters in Tahoe and will definitely be able to help you have a fun day on the mountain without worrying about having poor equipment.

Riva is another great restaurant with a full bar over looking the lake. It's a great restaurant to go to at sunset. I recommend calling ahead and making a reservation for a window table as it can get pretty busy. On Wednesdays they do Wet Woody Wednesday at the bar which is discounted drinks and food. A local favorite and hangout.
