Lots of live bands play here. Because you are in Brighton, they will either be on the way up, or on the way down. Or maybe a cover band. There are also frequent club nights held here.
I wouldn’t walk back into town late at night, it’s best to call a cab. The rats (both human and rodent) running around by the beach are nasty.

Nothing remarkable about this pub. However, it is a safe place to take a break in if you are tired. The coffee and tea is refillable.

As well as running a male grooming shop at this address, Peter Joannou doubles as Brighton's singing barber. Every other Saturday, Peter performs from his store balcony to raise money for charity. He likes doing Frank Sinatra, Perry Como, Elvis Presley songs amongst many others and his shows are a lot of fun. He has even been surprised by Rod Stewart joining him on one occasion.
This event is great and you are alright to go alone. The audience just stands in the street, or dances in front of the traffic. if you want to sit down, get there early and grab an outside table at the Victory Pub.
The show happens every other Saturday at 40 Middle St, starting at 6pm. If you are here on a weekend and you want to go, ask me to check if he's performing.

Most visitors go to The Pavillion. However, there are many other places of interest to see in Brighton.
Situated in the Victorian arches under Brighton station, this museum houses a large collection of pre mid 20th century toys.
Sometimes small music gigs are held here in the evening.

Come to this pier in the winter months to see the hypnotic starling murmurations at sunset. The sun will set over the sea at this time of year, on a clear day you might just get lucky and see a green flash sunset. I did on the day that the second lockdown started and wondered if it was a sign.
The thuggish seagulls that hover in wait will steal chips, hotdogs or anything else that looks attractive to them. I have lost the chocolate flake out of a 99 cone on one occasion. Only a few weeks ago another of these gangsters snatched a scoop of chocolate ice cream out of a cone I had just bought.
I’ve even heard of them taking mobile phones - they might even take someone’s hand one day so be careful!

My love of good food shows on my hips! Chain restaurants aren’t the enemy, but many of the cheaper “Eat All You Can” places are. Many of them leave food out far too long. Fill your boots at your peril. If you get sick, don’t say I didn’t warn you.
I’ve just been told about the “Too Good to Go” app. Many food outlets in Brighton are on this. You can often find cheap items at the end of the day - they are advertised on the app. You pay a few pounds for a magic bag and take pot luck on what’s inside.
