Wekiva Island is a small gem here in longwood Florida. The river has fascinating wildlife. It offers canoes, kayaks, paddle boards and cabanas all for rent. It’s very popular, be sure to arrive a bit before it opens to guarantee entrance.

Wekiva Springs is 72 degrees year round. It’s perfect to go cool off on hot Florida days. The springs has a natural grassy slope fantastic for spreading a blanket and having a picnic. If you’re looking for a little adventure there are long or short trails where you’ll encounter Florida wildlife.

This spring has the most inviting, crystal clear waters around. It’s long slow river makes it ideal for tubing. It ends at the spring pool where you can hope off and take a swim.
Like most springs this fills up quickly arrive at opening time or before to avoid getting left out. Before you arrive at the park you will see signs for tube rental this is a must if you plan on tubing.

A peaceful escape in nature. This park offers a boardwalk trail and play area. It’s very well kept and close to the Casita. Only 2.5 miles away!
Park is only open Thursday thru Sunday. Take some bug spray, you’ll be walking within the woods.

This Zoo is not just to see animals you could also have a Zipline Adventure. There is also a cute little Splash Pad area for small children.
