Short hike up fairly easy slope to a beautiful waterfall. If you're up for it, there are approximately 100 steps down to the falls, where you can wade and get a closer view of the falls. You csn continue up along the river to an overlook at the top of the falls. Access to the Superior Hiking Trail.

Caribou Falls State Wayside

CASTLE DANGER BREWERY
The best brewery in Minnesota (in our opinion)! Favorites always available plus a selection of new beers, some quite experimental. We have never tried a beer we didn't like. Great atmosphere. Food is not served other than a few bagged snacks but you can order local fare and have it delivered or bring in your own. Lots of outdoor seating and yard games. In the winter, there is cribbage and other games available. It is our favorite hangout in any season!

Just down 61 towards Duluth, one of our favorite spots for viewing Lake Superior and surrounding forest in all seasons! It is a rugged steep climb so keep kids in hand and wear your hiking boots!

Lake Superior is right outside and down the steps!
Lake Superior is right outside and down the steps to a rocky cove that's perfect for launching kayaks or canoes, picnics, bonfires, or gazing at the endless horizon. At night, a canopy of stars, the rising moon and if you're lucky - Northern Lights! Care should always be taken on steps and rocks.

Our favorite "hang" for fabulous beer, including unique trial brews in addition to their famous standards. Some snacks are available for purchase but outside food can be delivered or brought in (a list is provided at the brewery). Cribbage and other games are available. Perfect for cold, rainy days! Warm and inviting!
