The Esplanade12 mins drive around lake to north… Warner's Bay foreshore, jetty, parkland, walking path. Opposite shopping strip with cafes, takeaways. etc.

Toilet block, picnic tables. Nice if wind blowing from south should be protected. Drive past some little shops in Valentine with takeaway so could get burgers or f and chips.

Haven't been here but daughter says fab park for kids. Apparently mega playground. Fantastic by all accounts. Look it up.

Nice short ferry ride across the harbour to Stockton, and return . Only takes a few minutes so great for little kids. Lovely waterfront in Newcastle to walk around and lots of eateries. Walk all around harbour if you wish.
