The best place in the city, absolutely amazing landscape, here is located the "Monumento a los Colonizadores" It is open between 11am to 7pm. Be sure to plan your visit when is not rainy and foggy.

Our cable car, I guess the cheapest in the country can take you from "fundadores" station to Villamaría in 14 minutes per only (2.000COP), the thing here is the view of the city. You can do the round trip without to leave the stations for the same money or you can stop in Villamaría and enjoy this little town, I highly recommend (if you are a meat lover) the chorizos that you can find in a little kiosk in the middle of the park and then coming back in the cable car (you have to pay again the ticket 2.000 COP)

Aereo Cable Manizales - Founders Station

Catedral Basílica de Nuestra Señora del Rosario, Manizales

And it has a lovely cafeteria inside the building, good coffee and cakes... from here you can climb the stairs to the church tower, where you can have a 360º view of the city. This is the Torre de Herveo, this structure belong to the old rope-way between Manizales and the Tolima's department stations, Initially was located in Herveo, Tolima and when the Ropeway company disapear this tower was disassemble and reassemble in its current location, front of the old station, from where is coming out a cable line, replic of the old days way of transportation, you can see this behind the old station building (The red one). This process was made by students of architecture of the "Universidad Nacional" in the 80's becoming an important icon and as a reference of Manizales's architecture.

Whole staying is about 2 hours. Also, from this point you are very close to the hot springs

Also inside the city and FREE entrance.. but you have to pay to the guide, you have two options, a shorth path or the long way... if you are alone all the money is on you but if there is a group the fee is split between the visitors.
