Poke-o-Moonshine is a great hike - beautiful, shorter (about an hour up), with long views over Lake Champlain country to the east and mountain country to the south ans west. A restored firetower at the summit is open for an extra boost!

This brewery is a short walk just across the road from your cabin! A very comfortable outdoor or pavilion scene with a nice array of their own beers and sodas. There is often a food truck and some live music. Friday nights are BBQ night, and Thurs and Sat vary some.

This little grass-fed creamery and farm store are just a half mile down the road! We highly recommend their yogurt. They also make cheeses, sell raw milk, and offer an array of other pantry and picnic items.

Swimming
For a nice, scenic, long beach walk or a quick dip in the lake, we love AuSable Point. You can park just before the ticket kiosk when you see the beach on your left and walk in via the beach, or pay the $8 day fee to NYS Parks. The point, where the AuSable feeds into the Lake, is beautiful and a little other worldly.

Beautiful spot - easy, short walk in - black sand beaches, sand bar out in lake. This is the mouth of the Boquet River. Just 20 mins away!

This is a very well done natural history museum about this region, and features a really cool outdoor area in addition to the museum. Kids and grownups will both enjoy! There us food there, but we like to bring a picnic to enjoy outside on nice days!
