If my friends, family, or clients come to DC, these are places I take them based on their preferences:
POV is the best place for a selfie! It has the best views! Drinks are expensive but worth it but have one drink, see the sights, get your photos and move on! It pairs well with eating at Old Ebbitt Grille, DC’s oldest saloon and a place across from the White House. Walk into Old Ebbitt Grille, which is close by, request a reservation, they will call you when your table is ready, and go wait with a drink and a selfie at POV. By the time your drink is finished your table at Old Ebbitt will be ready. I do not recommend eating at POV which I find over priced and so-so. The drinks at POV are worth every penny though.

Amazing adult milkshakes and burgers. This is a family friendly restaurant. Many AirBnB’ers go back multiple times on the same visit to DC! It also within walking distance of the house on 8th & G SE.
