If you can access the Riverwest FB page, look for SmokeN Mirrors a local band that plays great funk jazz at Bar Centro as well as other venues in the city. Linnemans is another classic music venue in Riverwest as well as Mad Planet nightclub, But if you head out in the evening you will hear the live music wherever it's coming from, Riverwest is not that big.

It's it's a beautiful food market right in the heart of downtown Milwaukee. from there you can roam the streets and shop.

If you need a place to sit for hours and read or do some work, there's free Wi-Fi along with the best coffee in the city. Another great place to people watch and meet new folks and also pick up the local newspapers. The menu is pretty large for a coffee shop and it's fun to listen to and watch the process of coffee being made right there in house. Order ahead and pick up if you want to. The colorful ambience is cozy. Business meetings and casual meetings happen there all the time. My personal favorite as of late is the cold brew with oat milk and agave.

Finally on the west side of Art Bar is the quaint and intimate cocktail lounge called Two! I went on a first date with my husband there. It's got retro-flare. You'll love it.

Dog park
This is my dog park! I have met so many friends at the Rover West dog Park. It's gated and a 5-minute walk from the house. Your pup will thank you, thank you, thank you for taking them there for the social aspect. You may even get some tips from locals about where to go next. Doggie bags and water are always provided.

The outdoor patio feels like a French cafe and the bar is cozy. It's a romantic place.

They do wine tastings and wine flights and special events all the time where they bring food vendors in. They also sell cigars and specialty foods.

In Riverwest, The beer line trail wiggles through from Humboldt to Holton Street. I usually use the trail when I'm walking my dog or riding a bike. It's just a fun way to navigate through Riverwest observe nature stumble upon a restaurant or ice rink if it's winter :-) It's worth checking out. It will lead you straight to Collectivo coffee which we will get to.
