Stonehenge is one of the most recognizable monuments in the UK. It is a ring of standing stones set into the ground and surrounded by a circular mound of earth. The cathedral also has an original copy of the Magna Carta (The Great Charter), a key document fro 1215 A.D.
There is an entrance fee (or donation), services are held regularly.
Peregrine Falcons can be seen nesting around the spire and roof spaces. A working cathedral so organ tuning, choirs singing, rehearsals and stage moves happen during the day.
We’d highly recommend a guided tour which talks about the history of the cathedral that moved, building on water as well as guiding you up the sire- for those that like the challenge of steps!
Finish your tour in the refectory with luscious cakes and light bites and out through the gift shop.
