Tooting High street very vibrant with shops and restaurants
Tooting has a good reputation for its many Asian and other restaurants all located on or around the high street. It has a competitively priced fresh produce market. The indoor markets have a variety of stalls selling food, dress fabric, bric a brac, interesting African arts and crafts, records, cafes and at night it becomes very entertaining with bars, restaurants, DJs playing music and craft beer shops.

At the top of the common there is a wooded nature reserve for peaceful and calm walks. Also there is a lovely secluded rookery with beautiful and varied plants and flowers, a little water feature and seating areas ideal for picnics.

Buses take 15 minutes to the nearest underground station Tooting Broadway which is on the Northern line. Buses also take you to Brixton with it's large concert venues and plenty of bars, pubs and dancing venues.
