Our beach has a newly built SLSC (Surf Life Saving Club) with guards on duty most days. "Swim in the flags" means swim between the red and yellow flags. It allows the life guards to keep our beaches safe and they choose areas that are safe to swim, so listen to them if they instruct you to do something. They are the boss on the beach :) We accept their knowledge and respect them as a group. They really do save lives.
The northern end of the beach past the rock pools is called "The Basin" a little more private and close to the rocks and a fun adventure to see marine life and snorkel. This is also the end closest to the Awesome Bungalow.

2 pools in the middles of the Mona Vale Basin end (North) and Mona Vale Beach (south end). there's a kiddies pool and a lap pool that is an Australian "norm" to have a lap pool for the beaches. Lights up for evening/dusk swims also.

Newport beach is very close to Newport Village where you can grab food and coffees and then go for a dip. Also has a rock pool at the far South end (next to the pool on the right is a cute little private spot for snorkeling and or baby paddles.
Another plus with Newport beach, is at the far north end it attaches to a patchway/hike to Bilgola Beach which a a really sweet private beach, also with pool and coffee shop. Great to walk and or run this hike.

Newport beach is very close to Newport Village where you can grab food and coffees and then go for a dip. Also has a rock pool at the far South end (next to the pool on the right is a cute little private spot for snorkeling and or baby paddles.
