Cathedral Rock is the most iconic of the rock formations in Sedona. It has an uplifting, feminine energy that will move even the most hardened heart to opening and flowing tears. There is a trail that takes you to the top of the formation, but the energy can easily be felt just a short walk from the parking area. There is a shuttle service to the parking area if no parking is available at the trailhead.

500 Back O Beyond RdCathedral Rock is the most iconic of the rock formations in Sedona. It has an uplifting, feminine energy that will move even the most hardened heart to opening and flowing tears. There is a trail that takes you to the top of the formation, but the energy can easily be felt just a short walk from the parking area. There is a shuttle service to the parking area if no parking is available at the trailhead.
Subway Cave is in a side canyon off Boynton Canyon. Boynton Canyon is also the most sacred and energetic of the Sedona vortices. It is has both masculine and feminine energies. This canyon has been a place of sacred ceremony for the indigenous nations for centuries. It's like being in an ancient cathedral. Subway Cave is difficult to access and for experienced hikers, and it affords one of the best "selfie" shots in Sedona.

The Airport Mesa Vortex is located halfway up Airport Road on the left hand side. There is a parking area for about eight cars. In the busy season you may have to wait for a place or park at the top and walk down. Follow the signs to the top of the small hill again on your left. This vortex has a masculine energy. You can also hike the Airport Loop Trail from here. My favorite time to visit this vortex is a night. Take a blanket, lay on your back and watch the Milky Way go by.

483 Airport RdThe Airport Mesa Vortex is located halfway up Airport Road on the left hand side. There is a parking area for about eight cars. In the busy season you may have to wait for a place or park at the top and walk down. Follow the signs to the top of the small hill again on your left. This vortex has a masculine energy. You can also hike the Airport Loop Trail from here. My favorite time to visit this vortex is a night. Take a blanket, lay on your back and watch the Milky Way go by.

Best Kept Secret Vortex. Located in Seven Canyons Golf Club, there is a small admission fee to get through the gate. Tell the guard you want to go to Rachel's Knoll. They can't refuse you even though this is a private golf course. They are very friendly and will direct you to the Knoll. This is a very easy overlook accessible by anyone that can walk a few yards. There is a panoramic view of the golf course and the back of Thunder Mountian and Long Canyon. The energy is uplifting and masculine. The previous owner of the property dictated in her will that the Knoll always be kept open to the public. There is a dedication plaque to Rachel onsite.

Broken Arrow features a sinkhole on the way. Also off this trail is Submarine Rock. This is a very popular Jeep trail, but is great for hiking too. Go high to avoid jeep traffic.
