Wingston is our go to corner for a casual laid back dinner. Order a burger, chiken wings or a great salad and an ice cold pint (yes, here the pints are served icy) and enjoy the cozy atmosphere. Kids love it there. Note: It's really popular so a reservation is a must especially in weekends. Affordable.
Psst. Try vegetarian or Wingston burger. And Pikkis is an awesome non alcoholic drink.

If you are on the budget, go there for lunch. It's gonna be the 12 euros well spend. In Fridays they often have after work wine offers. So, late Friday lunch at Gustav is usually a good idea.

Colourful and healty breakfast buffet includes treats for every taste.
If you are a breakfast person it is worth treating your self with this one. Cost is 24 euros / person ,if you are not a hotel guest. A reservation recommended.

Attractions & Sights
These are the must see attractions at Rovaniemi, well accoring to us at least.
The place not to miss! The science center takes you to changing Arctic and gives you the glimpse of the world above Arctic Circle, without having to get cold of course.
There is also the regional museum presenting the history of Rovaniemi and some Sami culture.
If you are into science and nature the forest science center Pilke next door is worth a visit as well, you can by a joint ticket!

Now it is a concert hall, art museum and a cafe.

They also serve one of the best lunches in town. Pay at the bar and enjoy the buffet. A popular choise for locals working nearby.

Make sure you check the opening ours at Santa Claus Office's website. It is free to meet him! There might be some line especially during the peak season, so it early birds are likely to be revarded with less queue.
There are also variety of gift shops, restaurants and cafes as well a post offiice at the Village. Kitch alert.

You can buy tickets on the bus from the driver. The detaild schedule and bus stops are avilable at Visit Rovaniemi website.
Taxi is a convenient obtion as well, especilly if you are many. A one way taxi ride will set you back 25 - 30 euros.
