One of the most beautiful beaches in Northern California. Walk for miles, hang out with your family and loved ones and enjoy the surf. There is plenty of parking. But it can get busy during holiday seasons. I recommend taking the stairs down to the beach. The dirt walk ways can get very slippery.

Montara Beach

Walk or drive down Farallone Ave straight to the trail head. Walking distance is about 10 min to the trail head. The hike is easy and you'll be rewarded with magical ocean views. If you follow the Pedro Mountain Rd Trail, you'll walk right through a horse ranch.

Besides looking at the former bunker you can hike or bike the perfectly paved devils slide trail along the cliff. The ocean and cliff views are in my opinion unique in the world.

The name seems obvious and boring ;) but their food is great. Please make a reservation in advance. I would recommend the outdoor area in the back courtyard. It has a mediterranean vibe to it.

Very yummy cappuccino and pastries. I only drink their cappuccino. their outdoor seating is great to enjoy some sunshine. Located right next to La Costanera restaurant.
