If you fancy a splurge treat yourself to Art Afternoon Tea. It is more than afternoon tea. It is a ritual to be savoured. The Merrion’s pastry chefs, serve a collection of pastries, each one inspired by a work of art. Nine works of art were chosen by the pastry chefs. All the paintings hang either in the Front Hall, Reception or in the classically elegant, deeply comfortable, Georgian Drawing Rooms, overlooking the private courtyard gardens, where afternoon tea is served. A great selection of teas including matcha iced tea.

Greta for Brunch or those with a sweet tooth! The homemade cakes like lemon meringue, Victoria sponge, quiet cakes, rhubarb tarts are all the best in the city. The hiddledy piggledy mismatched crockery adds homely charm to this quaint little cafe. Not a lot of space but bursting with taste and atmosphere.

A walk through the cobbled stones of Trinity College Dublin will bring visitors back to the 18th century, when the magnificent Old Library building was constructed and which displays the Book of Kells. The Book of Kells is Ireland's greatest cultural treasure and the world's most famous medieval manuscript. The 9th century book is a richly decorated copy of the four Gospels of the life of Jesus Christ.
