Entertainment & Activities

Grandjean Campground is in the Sawtooth National Recreation Area on the edge of the Sawtooth Wilderness Area. The South Fork of the Payette River meanders through the valley and is beautiful, crystal clear and cold. Mount Zumwalt, Observation Peak, Grandjean Peak, and several other peaks seem to watch over this area and call to the adventurer in many of us. The trails here lead to Trail Creek Lakes, Baron Lakes, Braxton Lake, Packrat Lake and many, many more. This is an absolutely beautiful area which appeals to many different people. I would encourage you to visit Grandjean even if it is only on a Sunday drive. https://www.idahocampgroundreview.com/campgroundhome.php?page=grandjean

Idaho's Highway 75 runs along the Salmon River through the stunning scenery of the Salmon-Challis National Forest. Hidden along this stretch of highway are a multitude of thermal springs, the most popular being Sunbeam Hot Springs. The pools sit on the bank of the Salmon River below the highway where a thermal spring cascades from the hillside to the river. A collection of boulders makes the pools difficult to see from the highway, but the steam rising from the river is unmistakable." https://www.outdoorproject.com/adventures/idaho/hot-springs/sunbeam-hot-springs
