Although you must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to have the opportunity to enter the Mesa temple walking around the Mesa temple grounds is scenic and stunning.

Family Friendly

This park has an incredible playground that parents can navigate fairly easily (i.e. minimal amount ducking). There is also a splash pad, pavilions, basketball courts, and restrooms. It's very close to Main St. and the Mesa Light Rail.

There is a lot to do and see at the Mesa Temple Visitors Center. If you've ever wanted to learn more about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints this is a good place to visit.

Food scene

This is an incredible place for locally made bread products. Their pain au chocolat is the best I've had in the U.S. (I lived in France for a while, so I've eaten quite a bit of pain au chocolat). It's on the pricier end (~$5/pastry), but such a tasty local spot.

Get the Graham Canyon Ice Cream, you won't regret it. This is one of the only places outside of Utah that you can get BYU Creamery ice cream so if you've never had it I recommend trying it out.
