Some lovely pubs in Athlone. Of course there are ones with no link. Try Seerys opposite the Garda Barracks or Fletchers beside Dunnes Stores. Below are the better known ones.
Athlone is known for Seans Bar. Worth a visit but can get very busy. My favourite time is early evening when its nice and quiet. A nice mix of locals and tourists.
