Here are some of our favourite places to eat and drink in the local area. Bournemouth town itself also has many chain restaurants. But these are a bit different, more local and worth a try! There are so many lovely places so if you are keen to find anything in particular just ask!

Bar, Deli and restaurant on Boscombe sea front. Lovely walk along the beach from apartment. Great mixed menu, decking on the sand. Upstairs mezzanine is lovely for dinner at night overlooking the sea. They also own a pizza takeaway next door (The Woodoven) which is really nice.

Undercliff DriveBar, Deli and restaurant on Boscombe sea front. Lovely walk along the beach from apartment. Great mixed menu, decking on the sand. Upstairs mezzanine is lovely for dinner at night overlooking the sea. They also own a pizza takeaway next door (The Woodoven) which is really nice.
Traditional Italian restaurant. Slightly old school but food is so good! Amazing pasta dishes and steaks. Just at the top of the road.

Proper dirty burgers, fries and cocktails! This place is a hit with my kids (and husband!) family run and they do 2 for 1 Tuesdays which is a bargain! Short walk along towards Pokesdown Station and located next door.

A somewhat unique cooking method with its wood-fired oven. Owned by same person who owns Terroir Tapas and the cheese shop opposite Parlamentory, very focused on local produce and sustainability.

I love this place! Gorgeous hotel and spa located right on the river at Christchurch. There’s a little boat you can catch from this side! The main restaurant has a beautiful menu and is more formal. Or there is a lovely outdoor and bar area too for lunches or afternoon tea where you can sit right on the river. Little bit of luxury. Great play park/water park opposite for kids too.

This little gem is located in Lower Parkstone/Ashley cross which is on route towards Poole. Worth a stop on the way back if you’re in the area. Stunning Asian Fusion and Sushi. You need to book in advance as it can be difficult to get a table. You’d need a car or we tend to jump on the train at Pokesdown which is direct in ten mins. Then nobody has to drive! They also do a kids menu. Loads of lovely bars in the same area if you want to make a night of it!
