Food scene

If you want to taste beautiful fish and sea food, visit a place on the Ugljan island called Kali (Known as a fisherman's village) and over there find a local place called OPG Pierini. That's the best local experience you can have there - a family that runs that small restaurant knows how to spoil guests with food and while there, you can also learn something about their local customs and hear some cool fishing stories.

If you wish to cook by yourself, in the apartment you have all the cooking facilities you need and the best and most convenient place for buying local groceries (vegetables and fruits) is this local market in shopping center City Galleria - only 7-10 minutes walk away from the apartment. Prices are reasonable and all the locals buy there as well.

Sightseeing

Pag is beautiful because it's full of rocks, almost no trees and there is a place there on the end of the island called "Lun" where you will find some of the oldest olive trees in this area (they are really old and beautiful). Beaches in that area are mostly rocky and the sea is beautifuly fresh and clean. Pag is known for salt and for cheese they make (paški sir) - try it.

You can go on the islands in front of Zadar. If you go to Ugljan (the island right in front) you will not need the car as you can go out from the ferry and visit even smaller island in front of that place where ferry will drop you off (Ošljak or Škoić). For me the best part of that trip is the ride with ferry (you can see the city from the whole another perspective while in ferry) and as ferries sail very often you can literally go there to take a swim and have coffee/lunch and then go back. Ferries to islands go from Luka Gaženica (best if you go there by car) or from the city center (convenient if you go without a car).

City/town information

Beautiful sandy beach called Queens beach and a lot of romantic and historical sights to see over there. It is only 20 minutes away from Zadar with car or a bit more if you go by bus. You should visit.

Adrenaline lovers

If you're into adrenaline activities, then I definitely suggest you to go to Maslenica and jump bungee. The bridge from where they jump is 56 meters high and is the highest bungee in Croatia. Maslenica is on the way to beautiful National park Paklenica (Velebit mountain).

A place right before Pag bridge, a place where you land if you do skydiving, and if you decide to do skydiving - be sure to contact ADV team (adventure driven vacation) as they have the skills to give you the most beautiful adrenaline experience you can wish for - SKYDIVING. I like.

Neighborhoods

Beach full of rocks from which you can jump to the clean and fresh sea (deep sea). There is also a caffe bar over there that I like (the only one in that place), especially when I go to watch sunset (Zadar really has the best sunset in the world, Hitchock said it, therefore must be true). And the trees over there smell nice; + even on the hottest days they make beautiful shadow.

That's an old (not so stylish) caffe bar that I like the most in Zadar. When the city is crowded (especially on cloudy weather), you can sit there by the sea and watch the city center from a decent distance, feel like you're there but yet far away in your peace. You can swim there as well because over there is one of the city beaches.

2 minute walk from the apartment (literally just cross the street when you exit the building) is a Petrol gas station which is more than convenient as it works 0-24h. Wether you want to buy an ice cream in the midnight or you want to add GB to your phone - this is the place I recommend.
