The fried scallops and clams are fabulous. They have awesome frozen drinks too. On a nice day sit out on the outdoor deck and enjoy fried seafood while people watching on the harbor.

Don't miss catching a film here. Like a walk into the past. The tiniest vintage theatre that has been lovingly restored. Not many this original left in the US - enjoy a part of the past!

Don't miss the Gingerbread Houses. Iconic ice cream colored summer cottages from the 1800's. Located right behind our house! Walk through the campground into town - that's our usual route - cool and scenic. Sometimes there are musical performances and other things held in the Tabernacle.

Parks & Nature

Stunning beach. Kids love to play and build with the rocks. Take a long walk down to the clay cliffs. Can grab lunch at the top of the cliff and see the lighthouse too. It's a bit of a walk from the parking lot to the beach so our tip is to drop family and beach stuff at beach entrance and for driver to then go park car and walk down access path to the beach.

Our town beach. We love it. Very gentle for kids - usually not a lot of waves. We walk down and spend the day there - easy to send someone into town to pick up sandwiches or pizza for lunch.

Such a great shop. Lots of Martha's Vineyard and beach stuff - but of a really nice quality - not just touristy sweat shirt stuff. Good place to take kids for a new toy or to find some lovely soap or a present.

Essentials

Tony's is open late and on Sunday. Reliable Market in town isn't always so reliable - it closes early. Also Tony's sells beer and wine. Great for anything you might need to stock up and a quick walk from the house.
