Sightseeing

This red-stone mansion was designed by Henry Janeway Hardenbergh who created the original Waldorf Astoria and Plaza Hotels in New York City. Preston Boyd Moss had the home built in 1903 for his wife Mattie and their six children. It was an amazingly expensive home for its day and it brought some style and elegance to tiny Billings, Montana. Through the years, Mattie bought stylish furniture and decorations on her many travels to send back to Moss Mansion.

Neighborhoods

Our AirBnB units are located close to the regional Billings (BIL) airport, downtown and many of our main attractions - for example a few of my favorites are the Breweries (see below under places to eat), Yellowstone Art Museum, the MetraPark (check the schedule for live events such as Rodeos, Concerts) and Pictograph Cave State Park (about a 15-20 minute drive away). A couple neighborhood parks are just a quick stroll away. I’d recommend walking over to: Central Park, popular attractions include a playground, horseshoe pits, picnic shelter, restrooms, tennis courts and softball/baseball fields), or Terry Park, popular attractions include a splashground, playground, basketball court, restrooms and plenty of green space for softball/ baseball/ football/ rugby/ soccer.
