Great beer, really good food at the Commissary next door, and they usually have a food truck too. You are right on the mountain, so gorgeous views from the deck year-round, and you will converse with the skiers in the winter.

Best place to see the large herd of elk. Early mornings and evenings you are "almost certain" to see them. Pack a snack, and settle in to enjoy their interactions, while you have an incredible view of Mt. Si. (Leash your pup though -- they have been known to chase the elk into the road)

This trail follows an old railroad bed, and runs all the way to Cle Elum. It is perfect long (or not) walk, bike ride, and it intersects with other great hikes too.
