At Pentewan there is The Lost Gardens of Heligan,
The charming Lost Gardens of Heligan offers over 200 acres of ancient land for you to discover, it is one of the most mysterious estates in England! You can even trek right through the Jungle on the only Burmese rope bridge in the UK if you dare.
Step back in time as you explore the Northern Gardens, with beautiful flowers and over 20 varieties of fruit and vegetables, there’s even a melon plot. You will also get to see the 200-year-old Pleasure Grounds, which conceal an unusual range of unexpected features and romantic structures, linked by a network of walks. The kids will love exploring and everyone will enjoy the rhododendrons and camellias that are over 150 years old!
Go and explore the Jungle hosting a huge range of exotic plantings and foliage, including a large tunnel of towering bamboo. It even has its own microclimate which as at least 5 degrees warmer than the Northern Gardens! You can even bring the family pooch along with you on a lead, so everyone can come enjoy the fun.

There are all weather teeing areas with great views, there's no need to book and it takes a family of 4 between 1.5 and 2 hours to play 18 holes.
We also have a small play area for under 5s, and pushchairs can be taken on the course. It really is a great fun healthy game for all the family. Clubhouse with seating and outside seating area as well as picnic areas around the course.
We have two 18 hole courses, one is on the flat land called Parkland and one is on the Hills called Hillside. It's all also only 5 minutes form the Eden Project!

There are various play areas around the site including mazes made of willow, large instruments to play, a wooden ship to climb, a sand pit and a gigantic nutcracker to wind. You can walk down the winding paths or you can ride on the land train tractor.
There are also a variety of exciting activities on offer, with ice skating through the winter, and exhilarating 66m sky wire ride over the Biomes and a rock climbing wall, as well as events throughout the year to celebrate the seasons.

Drive down the winding, tree-lined lane to a place where puzzles and adventure awaits.
Follow the puzzle trails, find your way to the Forbidden Mansion and take in the village of Tremuddlewick.
Watch the miniature railway travel through landscaped gardens, get lost in the Maze, hop on the Porterswick Junction Light Railway and arrive back at the café for a scrumptious snack.
Hidden Valley is a discovery park for all ages, located just outside Launceston in Cornwall off the A30/A395.
There is ample free parking. Entry is by booked tickets only.

That's all right next to the picnic tables so the grown-ups can relax and get the picnic ready for munching on while the kids are running about 'owling.

My daughter loves the vegan bagel with smashed avocado and the berry blast smoothie. I love the biscoff cookie pie and the jam flapjack!
