The National Palace of Culture is a big communist building at the end of Vitosha street. Its usually used for Expos, the book festival is there also. This is also where Sofia skaters & bikers reside. When I was a teenager the park was a favorite chill spot after school with many nice memories and crushed hearts.

Perfect park for a walk & ice cream during the day! Maimunarnika music stage is there, nice for open air concerts, alternative music and snacks. Great place to meet some people. So I recommend that you take a trip to Borislova Gradina Park for some fresh air and tranquility in the city center. Constructed in 1884 and named after Boris III of Bulgaria, the park is divided into three parts. Each section was designed by a different successful and accomplished gardener

This charming round red brick church dates back to the 4th century, although it did not become a church till the 6th century. It is Sofia's oldest preserved building. Services are held daily at 8.00; 17.00 and 21.00. The website has a section called 'chants' where you can listen to recordings of Old Church Slavonic chants.

The beautiful building of the city’s former mineral baths is now the Museum of Sofia, forming a backdrop to the lovely park with a fountain where locals line up to fill up free hot mineral water. Interactive & good for kids.
