Stunning views, not too far for little legs or time pressured stop overs. Make this a longer stay and plan a walk/picnic. There are a couple of stiles. Best part is a stop at near by Chase Farm for ice cream and a milk shake!

Great little Welsh town, 7 miles from us for a wander and shopping. Small Lord Nelson Museum for rainy days, leisure centre with pool, river walks and weekend market. Lovely market town centre with boutique shopping and craft food shops - like 'Fingal Rock' for wines, Marches Deli for cheeses and Monteas for .... teas! One way system needs patience and parking on the High Street is strictly 30 mins, but Waitrose and the Riverside have large car parking.

This brand new 5 mile off-road shared use path between Chepstow and Tintern allows users to enjoy stunning views and explore two fabulous Wye Valley locations. Neighbourhoods

St Briavels is a small village set 800' feet above the Wye River, near the border of Wales and England. Take in the spectacular views across the valley from The Tump, at the back of the Castle. Great location for walking, cycling, touring and adventure days out. The 12th century castle was a hunting lodge on the frontier border, now owned by English Heritage. The church stands opposite the castle twin towers and there are some stunning walks around the village, taking is the views and quirky architecture. Food & Supplies: There is a small community run shop open each day, with a range of local foods and basics. The Pub 'The George' is under new management and their seafood menu is really impressive - great for nights when you don't want to cook or it is raining. 7 miles in any direction you will find bigger towns with a full range of amenities: Monmouth (M&S Food, Waitrose, Lidl and excellent Wine Merchant Fingle Rock'), Chepstow (M&S food, Tesco, Lidl), Coleford is slightly closer but limited (Tesco Metro, Coop and Lidl).
