Sightseeing
Little quay side town of Lymington has some nice cafes, restaurants and shops to visit. From the high end Elderflower Restaurant, to Blackbuttery on the High street there is lots of choice.
From Lymington you can walk along the sea wall (passing the salt lake marshes) all the way to Keyhaven where you can have lunch at The Gun pub (more expensive pub food but everyone says very good quality).
To get to Lymington you can get the hourly bus from outside our site or drive for 7 minutes.

Brockenhurst is in the heart of the New Forest, ponies and horses walk freely around. There are lots of excellent circular walks around Brockenhurst, there is a also a golf course, some cafes and the famous "Pig" hotel and restaurant.

If you want a traditional english beach, with kiosks, beach huts and sand this is the closest beach for that. It is often very crowded in height of summer. But you can eat at the Noisy Lobster, you can walk along to Mudeford Quay easily where you can do some crabbing. Calm waters and easier to walk into the water with the sandy beach.

If you want a traditional english beach, with kiosks, beach huts and sand this is the closest beach for that. It is often very crowded in height of summer. But you can eat at the Noisy Lobster, you can walk along to Mudeford Quay easily where you can do some crabbing. Calm waters and easier to walk into the water with the sandy beach.
Many families have told us they have enjoyed taking little kids here, soft play areas, toys and lots of animals to feed and pet. For latest prices check out their website

Barton is another pebbly beach, it has a nice cafe on the cliff top called the Beachcomber. You can walk along the cliff top to Milford on sea which is a nice walk. Be careful to keep away from the edge as there is erosion.

Outdoor space at the back under a tent, often crowded in the summer - right on the Quay so perfect as the start or end of a walk along the seawall to Lymington, dishes around the 15-£25 mark so bit more expensive than average pub.

This restaurant is on the cliff top at Barton on Sea, it has an outside bar and lovely fish and chips etc...food. Worth a visit especially if you sit by the window grab views over the sea.

This is the closest pub to us, a 2min drive or a 40 minute walk (its the mid point on a circular walk from Lightfoots Farm). It has a steam running through it, lots of outdoor space and art work in the garden. The reviews are mixed some guests say it was the best place they ate and keep going back, others have had experiences with long waits. It seems quite hit and miss - but everyone likes the outdoor space and quirky sculptures in the garden.

Cómo moverse
Buses operate but on a reduced timetable and not on Sundays
If you are coming by public transport, let us know and we can get you from the station or get a taxi. There is a bus stop outside our place (X2 More bus) which goes to Lymington and also to Bournemouth. It is an hourly service and doesn't run on Sundays.
Our site is located on a windy road, where cars often drive faster than the 30 mph limit. There are some walks from the site, one through fields and over stys to the local pub - it is 40 minute walk and not possible with a pram. There is a newsagents a 45 minute walk through same fields. Otherwise you need a car or time the buses.

Camping!!
Our bell tents are in a field, if its raining wellies or walking boots for walks is probably a good idea. If you are a larger party and you have torch bring them too. We supply towels for the shower/ hot tubs but not for the beach, please bring beach towels if you wish

Bike Hire
If you want to enjoy the many miles of bike trails then you can hire bikes from Brockenhurst, Burley, or Lydnhurst. If you are coming in height of summer book ahead.

If you prefer a day out to pottering in the forest or beach then there is plenty for you here. New Forest Wildlife park, Peppa pig world off the M27, all within each reach.
