Our new neighborhood favorite! Counter-service joint offering casual, lobster-based meals and other seafoods, beer, wine, and cocktails in a chic, industrial space. Very small space that fills up on Thursday and Friday nights. When looking at the delectable menu, don’t overthink it--just get the lobster!!!

It’s the best organic, sustainable, plant-based food without the pretense. This place is amazingly crowded and humming in the evenings, with hipsters enjoying a glass of wine or margarita, or a craft beer from Sage’s beer garden! Try the buffalo cauliflower “wings,” crispy samosa rolls, fried brussel sprouts, butternut squash ravioli, or any of the pizzas! We’re not vegan, but this place is very California, and very addictive!

There is no-menu. You eat what the chef gives you. Sushi Zo is the most expensive and well-known sushi and Japanese establishment in Los Angeles. It’s in a simple, strip-mall setting, but plan to make a reservation days in advance and prepare for a cancellation charge if you don’t make it. If you watch Seinfeld, then the “Soup Nazi” scene might ring a bell, and you will understand Sushi Zo. You will be delighted with a multicourse sushi-tasting meal with great saki and wine pairings. Literally, among the best sushi you will ever taste outside of the continent of Asia. It is a $$$$ so we save this place for special occasions, but you are getting very high quality high end sushi.

This place has been a Los Angeles enigma since 1959. There is absolutely zero fuss or glamour to this joint. And no rhyme or reason why the tacos are so good. They advertise that their Mexican food is prepared fresh daily from treasured top-secret recipes. The food is super cheap, the tacos are crispy, and the lines are oh-so long day or night! You will find yourself waiting in line for 20 minutes, and think, is this really worth the hassle? And after you finish your food, you realize, you’d do it again and again and again! They don’t deliver. They don’t take credit or debit card. Wait, why do we come here? Oh right, the magic tacos!

This might be our favorite restaurant in Culver City!!! We have our favorite waiter, Jorge, and the owner Danny, and love the Late Night Happy Hours from 9p.m. until closing. During Late-Night happy hours, certain menu and drink items (beer, wine, soju, or saki) are reduced to under $10. Delicious sushi and appetizers to share, and full entrees and rolls if you have the appetite. Eat at the bar, in the restaurant or on the patio on a warm evening.

The first floor lobby of this historic and iconic hotel is usually crowded with people socializing and drinking cocktails. The Hotel was built in 1924 and has a vintage ambiance. There is live jazz music most evenings playing quiet background music. During the filming of The Wizard of Oz in 1938, much of the cast and crew stayed at this location. It is located right next to the Culver City Arclight Theater so you come here for a drink while you wait for your movie or afterwards
