OMG. Do not leave Israel without visiting this jam of a restaurant. Amazing Mediterranean food, great friendly staff and perfectly relaxed atmosphere. Combine this place with your tour in Jaffa, and have dinner there.

Great Asian food, nice selection and pleasant atmosphere. There is another branch in Tel-Aviv city center, in Montefiore St 31 (if you are closer to that area when you are touring the city). Its a great place for lunch and dinner, for groups or 1:1. Personal tip: Sit at the counter, chat to the barman and you might get some free shots on the house (: My all time favorite dish there is called "The Afghani" dish. REALLY GOOD, give it a try!

The name in Hebrew is "Ha'kosem", which means "the magician". If you wanna have typical Israeli Hummus, Falafel Shawarma and other tasty middle-eastern food - this place is a great spot for a quick bite. It tends to be very busy around lunch time and sometimes even in the evening, but if you have patience it's worth the wait. Tip: If you are more than 1 person, have someone grab seats or a table, and the other one stands in the queue. Saves time ;)

The name is Hebrew is "Lechem and Shuut", which means "Bread and partners". Its a very nice spot (and close to the apartment) for breakfast, brunch or just coffee. Its a bakery so you can go inside, look at what they have, and order to go. Or, you can sit at a table and get the menu. The breakfast is nice, the Quiche are good, and the omelets as well. Here is an article about the place. It's in Hebrew but you can get an idea from the images :) http://hamesanenet.co.il/2015/06/25/%D7%9C%D7%97%D7%9D-%D7%95%D7%A9%D7%95%D7%AA/

Sea food baby! This place is a favorite of mine, being so close to the apartment AND having amazing food. I highly recommend booking a table because they are packed, especially during the weekend. Here is their menu so you can make sure you have enough selection before going there: http://www.goocha.co.il/eng-menu Tip: if you are only "beginners" with sea food (like me) or are just not too crazy about it, you might still like a dish called: "Sea food red curry with beef fillet", which is kind of a mix of small sea food that does not take up all of the culinary attention, and does not have crazy sea food creatures with eyes and tentacles :)

This sweet and cute little Cafe, right on the busiest yet nicest spots in the city (and 1 min from the apartment) - is also a favorite of mine. Its perfect for grabbing your morning coffee, pastry or sandwich - and they have really good ones. The service and staff is probably the nicest in the city: they smile, laugh with you and basically having fun with you, which gives out great energy. You'll get lucky if you see a spot during rush hours (breakfast, evening and especially Friday/saturday brunch hours), so if you do - hurry up and grab it ;) Tip: There is the vitrina (or glass counter) which show-cases the food available. First go to that side and look at what you want (unfortunately there are no signs in English but feel free to ask!). Only then, and when you are ready to order, go to cash-register and order. If you just want coffee, usually there is another queue just for that (the guys inside will probably shout in Hebrew "Anyone here just wants coffee"?, but if not, you'll see there is someone dedicated to just making coffee).

Great place for breakfast, Brunch, dinner and late-night snacks, as its open 24/7! Its all about eggs ;) The closest one to my place is in Ben Yehuda St, but there is another branch in Rothschild St, if you are in that area. My favorite dish is called "Croque madame", and you can see it and the entire menu, here: http://www.benedict.co.il/en/benedict-ben-yehuda/#

Drinks & Nightlife

Name in Hebrew is "Château-Shual". Château is French for a mansion, and "Shual" is a fox in Hebrew. Why is it called that? No idea :) This is a great little wine-bar that offers not just a great wine selection, but also nice tapas to go along your drinks. Its really nice for dates, easy-chilled nights or just relaxing evenings. This place is located right on the corner of Rabin Sqr, and Ben-Gurion Blvrd. 5 min from the apartment.
