Cómo moverse
Using Metro
DC’s subway system, the metro, is easy to use and accessible just a few minutes from the AirBnB. The closest station is Georgia Avenue/Petworth. From the Airbnb, turn right on New Hampshire Ave. After 2.5 short blocks, you’ll turn left on Georgia Ave. Entrances to the station are available on that block on either side of Georgia Ave. The system map and other info is available on the Washington Metro Area Transit Authority (WMATA) website at WMATA.com. You’ll need to purchase a reloadable SmartTrip card (1 per rider) online or at a metro station, or add one to AppleWallet/GooglePay, to ride.

Restaurants/Food
DC’s restaurant scene is one of our favorite parts of the city. Many restaurants are offering indoor and outdoor dining, and there are a multitude of takeout and delivery options. The guidebook includes some of our favorites in the surrounding neighborhood and elsewhere in the city. If you’d like a recommendation for a particular cuisine, don’t hesitate to ask!

Groceries and drug stores
The closest grocery and drug stores are just a few minute walk. The closest grocery store is Safeway, which is about a block past the metro. Groceries are also available by delivery from services like Instacart. The closest drug store is CVS, located at the corner of New Hampshire and Georgia Avenue (on the way to the metro).
