Lacock is a very charming, beautiful, traditional historic English village and has been used for numerous film locations including Larkrise to Candleford, Harry Potter, Jane Austen productions and many more. There is a lovely bakery there, several pubs and a tea room. The surrounding countryside is stunning.

Bradford-on-Avon is a very attractive historical town and well worth a visit. It has lovely riverside walks and The Saxon Church, the Tithe Barn and The Tory should be explored. You can hire narrow boats at Bradford Marina and also bicycles to cycle along the tow paths.

Hoopers Pool is on the edge of Southwick Village and Eastbrook Cottage is surrounded by farmland. It is a rural area and a car is needed to access local facilities. There is a wonderful Post Office in the nearby village of Rode where they also sell wonderful bread and pastries. Free Range eggs can be bought from the farm next door. There is a nearby Tesco Express about half a mile away on the way to Trowbridge, a very good Sainsburys on this side of Bradford-on-Avon just 2 miles away and there is a 24 hour garage a few minutes away on the A36. Frome is just 15 minutes away where a wonderful artisan market is held. St Catherine's Hill in Frome is worth a visit with its cobbled street and bohemian feel. The nearest pub is The Farmhouse in Southwick which you can walk to although the walk is along the main road (15 mins walk). the Mill at Rode is a pleasant place to eat being just by the river. The Poplars at Wingfield and the New Inn at Westwood and the Inn at Freshford are all popular places to eat. Trowbridge is 2 miles away, Bradford-on-Avon, 2 miles away, Bath 20 minutes and Longleat 15 minuets
