Sightseeing
Harlech is a great location in which to base your North Wales holiday. From here it is easy to reach all the main attractions and yet provides a quiet base to return to. You can travel by car, train and bus. Barmouth is south along the coast road and is another lovely beach area with sand dunes. To get there you will have to drive through lovely little villages and you will see the spectacular coast as a bonus. You can then travel on to other attractions including, Cadair Idris, Machynlleth, Aberdovey, Dolgellau and beyond.
If you leave the Harlech turning left at the main road, you can travel to Porthmadog, Portmeirion, Caernarfon, Bangor, Anglesey, the Llyn Peninsula or Blaenau Ffestiniog, Coed y Brennin, Bala, Surf Snowdonia and beyond. There are mountains, zip wires, bike rides, caverns to bounce in, waterfalls, lakes, walks, golf courses and Steam trains to explore on a daily basis.

If you have watched "I'm a Celebrity Get me out of here 2020" then you have seen a little of this wonderful Castle. The Castle was constructed between 1812 and 1822 and unfortunately went into decline in the late 1980's.
Hopefully with the exposure it has received at the end of 2020, some restoration work will follow.

The scenery will take your breath away. You will take in Mountain views that change on a weekly basis. The colours in the Park change with every cloud that passes so offer a photo opportunity on every turn.
After heavy rain, the waterfalls will appear from nowhere. The noise and force of the water will captivate you.
The local area is famous for slate mining and you will get the opportunity to go below ground or even take a zip wire to get a better view!

Fantastic day out. Bounce Below, Titan Zip wire, Mine visit... you could spend the whole day here but need to book any visit beforehand. On all options they tell you the history of the slate cavern. Great for all ages and 15 minutes drive from the flat. Cafe on site for those who want to stay at ground level.
