Food scene

This is our local pub, located at the bottom of the garden (more or less) via the public footpath that leads off the gravel driveway down the field to the pub (very handy)! There is an alternative route via the road - turn left at the island, left again and it is located on the left hand side at the bottom of the hill just before the canal bridge. They serve food and drinks (please check their website for current COVID-19 guidelines).

This is a very popular favourite with many of the locals as well as visitors from Solihull and Birmingham and gets booked up very quickly especially at the weekends. The Boot serves gastro-style food with an extensive and varied menu. They have a great outdoor space which on fine and sunny days can be enjoyed next to their impressive wigwam (used for private parties). You can walk to The Boot along the canal towpath - at the first junction you come along to, turn left onto the Stratford Upon Avon Canal and follow the canal towpath until you reach Lapworth Locks. To be sure you get a table, call to book: Tel: 01564 782 464

if you wish to venture farther afield, a 30-40 minute walk max will allow you to visit The Navvy (as we call it). Make your way down to the canal and make sure that once on the canal footpath - turn to your left and go under the bridge. (Turning to your right will take you towards Shrewley and ‘The Durham Ox’ but it is well over an hour to 90 mins walk). Follow the towpath all the way to Kingswood Junction - don’t turn left - instead, go over the bridge and carry straight on the towpath. At the next bridge, exit onto the main road and The Navigation Pub is straight across from you. Mark and Alison serve great food and will always make you feel welcome. There is a good selection of pub foods and restaurant meals
