Sightseeing
This is a great place to walk to from the house. Its a little bit of a walk but worth it and you can go a little further to the Willamette River with another great trail that you can walk all the way to the downtown area. Its also a great bike path as well. You will get to see a lot of great wildlife in this area and kids love exploring it!

Skinners Butte has a lot of history in regards to the early settlers of Eugene. If you drive or hike up, the views are worth it as you can see a good portion of Eugene. If you walk towards the base on the northside, you will experience Skinners Park and Lamb Cottage which has a great playground for kids.

Mt Pisgah is a great height. It is not recommended for small children or older adults as parts can be challenging as you are climbing a mountain. The views are worth the workout and I would recommend researching the various paths up the mountain as they have various difficulties.

This is probably my most favorite hike in the Eugene/Springfield area as the path winds through great forest and then at the top is a great place to spread out for a picnic or some great photos.

Spencer Butte
This is probably my most favorite hike in the Eugene/Springfield area as the path winds through great forest and then at the top is a great place to spread out for a picnic or some great photos.
If you have the time or travelling east towards the Bend area, I would highly recommend Belknap Springs. Bring a swimsuit and lunch anytime of the year. My favorite time of the year is winter after a good snow because you can hike and see the magic of snow and hike the various trails, then when done, you can pay to warm up in the warm springs pool and have a packed lunch inside. Sitting in the warm spring pool with rain or snow is a great experience. Summer is great as well but the pool and the hot weather might be a little much for some.

My favorite time of the year is winter after a good snow because you can hike and see the magic of snow and hike the various trails, then when done, you can pay to warm up in the warm springs pool and have a packed lunch inside. 1430 Johnson LaneOne of the largest collections of Asian art in the US and a lot of great art in general. If you like art, this is a must visit. Check the hours and call to confirm as COVID has altered their schedules. While you are there, check out the UO campus as well.
If you want to learn more about Oregon and its animals throughout time, this is a great place. I highly recommend this for kids and a great learning experience for the whole family.

Univeristy of Oregon is the heart of Eugene as it is truly a college town. Its a beautiful campus and I enjoy the early fall when the leaves are turning colors.

If you ever find yourself needing an extra shirt, quick inexpensive food options or some good entertainment with a movie theater or arcade, then Valley River Center is a good place for all of that. You can easily walk there is you wish and a quick drive will get you there.

The area of this AirBNB is known as Cal Young Rd and was formally a large agriculture area with many orchards and a lot of blue berries were farmed from this land. Its a very central location with access to many areas. It is a highly desired location due to proximity to so many popular areas while being far enough away from crime. A great neighborhood to walk and feel safe with many great schools in the area.

The best and most reasonable priced Thai food in Eugene in my opinion. Mon and Tim do an amazing job with a hip scene, good food, good service and great staff. If you want Thai, this is the place to go and is a local favorite for sure.

If you are a college football fan, this is the place to be. Even if not football season, you can check out the area and its a cool building. If during football season and you are going to a game, I would highly recommend riding bikes over or take an uber/lyft to Oakway Center and then walk because traffic can get bad.

This is a great place to have a drink at the roof top bar and just hang out. A lot of local professionals visit this place after hours but a little tip is the food is not the best.

Bikes are a great way to get around
Use your bike and google maps to get around the city. Its a very bike friendly town and HIGHLY recommend you bring your bike locks as bikes are not safe unlocked. I also highly recommend you ride along the river for an amazing experience.
Side note: There are bikes you can rent around town if you dont have one.

I think Uber and Lyft are great to get around if you do not have a car or bike. The cost of a Lyft tends to be slightly cheaper and if you are going to the airport, check around as these services are typically cheaper than taxis.
