Pagliacci pizza is hands down the best pizza in Seattle (in my opinion). It is a quick 10 minute walk from your condo. You can order for pick-up, delivery, or eat-in. You can also walk in a buy a slice. They have phenomenal seasonal pizzas. My favorite pizza is the spinach and chicken served with a pagliaccio salad on the side. VERY KID FRIENDLY

Ohana has been on the scene for 19 years now and is still just as popular as ever. They serve Hawaiian/Sushi - with an eat at sushi bar. My favorite on the menu is the edamame (in the shell) with salt and the katsu chicken.

My most favorite coffee in Seattle! And that is saying a lot. This is an easy 5-7 minute walk from our condo. Grab yourself a latte or try one of their house specialties - my favorite is the Gibralter. They also have a pretty delicious Beecher's (cheese) and bacon scone.

Uptown Espresso is another great local coffee joint. The scene of my husband and I's first date :) So it will obviously always hold a special place in my heart. Plus I love their lattes.

I haven't gotten a chance to try Toulouse Petit yet but there has to be something pretty amazing going on when there's always a line for brunch. New Orleans and cajun creole cuisine.

Casual joint with amazing Thai food! Another restaurant that has stood the test of time, I remember eating here at least 17 years ago and still eat there now. KID FRIENDLY - if you're kids eat Thai :)

Sightseeing

You cannot come to Seattle without visiting the iconic Pike Place Market. Surest way for people to know you're a tourist? Call it Pike's Place Market. No self respecting Seattlite would ever make that mistake. You gotta go watch the guys throw the fish, of course. And treat yourself to a giant bouquet of flowers. Insider's tip: I go for the the hum bao at Mee Sum Pastry, the gyros at Mr. D's Greek Delicacies, and the macarons at Le Panier.

The Seattle Children's Museum is located at the Seattle Center on the basement level of the Armory Building. Great way to see some of the Seattle Center and Space Needle and a great way to spend the day if it's raining. The Armory Building also houses a food court.

So much to do at the Pacific Science Center! Great for all ages who are interested in science but has some special exhibits specifically for children. Definitely a place we take our kids regularly (ages 6&8). Also houses an Imax theater and laser dome - I spent many a high school Saturday night at the laser show. So cool!

Shopping

I don't even know how to describe this place. Lot's of weird "curiosities" and fun stuff to buy. If you're already down on the waterfront you gotta check out the Ye Olde Curiosity Shop.
