I highly recommend the nem nuong rolls for anyone new to the area. It is especially delicious! The restaurant is very modern, casual yet elegant, up to date and I would highly recommend taking your date here as it sets a romantic ambience with its art on walls, dim lighting, beautiful decor as well as their perfect combination of color scheme. You will also love the full bar before entering the restaurant.

The go-to place for boba. My favorites are herbal tea, the house coffee, the mung bean, and the strawberry hibiscus. They also have strawberry croissants and macarons. The macarons are $1.50 each. Spicy popcorn chicken with mild garlic fries for an even amount of spiciness on your palette. The staffs are extremely friendly, and they offer samples. The parking lot is spacious.

When you get hungry in the middle of the night but don't want to eat anything heavy before bed or to fumble through the kitchen at 3 in the morning, go to 85 Degree. When you first enter, grab a tray and a pair of tongs then you can wander around and pick whatever pastry sound good to you (I would recommend the Taro bread, it's fantastic delicious) and put it on the tray. When you're done, they will bag it and charge you for your order. Anyway, stock up and you'll have delicious breakfast for your trip to Disneyland :)

Boiling Crab is located on the corner of Brookhurst and Westminster Blvd. It can have a fairly long wait. I've had wait times vary from 20-40 minutes. Disadvantage is that, if your entire party does not show up before you are seated, you will not be seated. The atmosphere and décor is similar to what you would see at the dock, or on a crab boat. From the graffiti on the walls to the fish nets. Lobster, Dungeness Crab, King Crab, Snow Crab, crawfish, shrimps, mussels and clams are all sold by the pound, at current market price; which is listed on a whiteboard. Oysters come on a half shell, either half or full dozen. They have fried options too, such as fried oysters/calamari, and fries.

As for the price, you go with the cheapest option at $17.99/person, unless you want to pay more for the Korean short ribs which are amazing but not necessary unless you are trying for the first time. The best meats are the brisket- these are best when they darken and get on the crispy side. The Bulgogi is marinated and soft, definitely a must try. The thin sliced pork belly once cooked to crispy perfection will remind you of crispy bacon. In summary, The food here is fresh and delicious and the soft yogurt at the end of the meal tops off the carnivorous feast nicely.

This place is really popular among the Korean community around the garden grove area. Lunch and dinner times are the busiest of times and the wait for a table can take up to half an hour to an hour. Once seated within a few minutes the famous Korean side dishes came out. When the meat came, one of the servers began grilling the meat. My favorite dish is their cold noodle. The noodles are cooked just right and the spicy sauce is perfect! Parking is tight but you can park on the streets and its worth the walk

Drinks & Nightlife

The Asian Garden Night Market is an amazing and fun event to visit. Especially, with the little Saigon being the largest population of Vietnamese in the US, you will get a little slice of what life is in Vietnam. Free admission, free parking and an easily accessible location. The Asian Garden Night Market takes place every Friday and Saturday this summer at the Asian Garden Mall on Bolsa. If you like meat on a stick, they have it here. They have bacon wrapped hot dogs for $3. There's grilled squid, sweet tofu, various types of noodle bowls, crab salad, vegetarian spring rolls, Pandan coconut waffle, taro sticky rice with coconut milk. There are also Vietnamese live music and dancing.
