Carcross is about an hour drive from Whitehorse. It's a beautiful drive and historic town to explore with great little coffee shop and gift shops. Take your lunch to the picnic area on Bennett Lake - the beach is spectacular and don't forgot to stop in at the dessert.

It's a beautiful drive (2 hours from the house) and you are sure to see lots of sheep on the mountain - don't forget your binoculars. There are several hikes but please do not hike on the mtn. during April and May when the babies are being born.
