'Italian pasta bar in Cremorne (Richmond) inspired by our family traditions. We think Pavarotti said it best “One of the very nicest things about life is the way we must regularly stop whatever it is we are doing and devote our attention to eating.” Great cocktail list, amazing sharing antipasto boards, best gnocchi in Melbourne & an all round good vibe

'From the age of 6 I remember watching my father and uncle break down a cow to feed 11 hungry children (5 brothers and 5 sisters) and I prayed that I would never have to do that and find a real job! The “real Job” lasted about 6 years of my professional career and my obsession with fine produce started just over 20 years ago. Quite frankly I had been trained from a very tender age to become fussier than your average human when it comes to selecting fresh produce and figured the best answer would be to just run my own businesses and feed myself and others. Macelleria literally means “Butcher Shop” and what we offer is Australia’s most desirable meat restaurant and a unique eating experience of uncompromising quality

The name says it all, really. Named after the Australian musical heroes, ACDC Lane is the physical embodiment of Melbourne's enduring love affair with dirty, low-down rock 'n' roll. Home to the infamous Cherry Bar, where every young hoon and swashbuckler has gotten into strife at some stage, this little corner of the city is what kick-started the laneway lifestyle way back when. Things are a little different now, or course. Sharp suited professionals and foodies in hipster jeans now line the cobblestones looking for the latest culinary sensation. But Cherry Bar still carries the torch & the street art covering every nook and cranny of this hallowed ground is a reminder that the beat goes

Dive into Port Phillip Bay under the watch of 82 distinctive bathing boxes, a row of uniformly proportioned wooden structures lining the foreshore at Brighton Beach. Built well over a century ago in response to very Victorian ideas of morality and seaside bathing, the bathing boxes remain almost unchanged. All retain classic Victorian architectural features with timber framing, weatherboards and corrugated iron roofs, though they also bear the hallmarks of individual licencees' artistic and colourful embellishments. Thanks to these distinctive decorations, the boxes turn the Brighton seaside into an immediately recognisable, iconic beachscape
