Lyfts, cabs and Uber is the best way to get around the city. Parking is difficult and not cheap.

It is best to travel during non- peak times 10am -3pm and after 6:30. This way most of the commuters are not on the roads. Cambridge is a walking city with a lot to see at what is called the squares which include Kenmore, Inman Central and Harvard Square. Here are restaurants shopping and lots of sites.

What to pack.
It really depends on the season. Our winters are cold and snowy, Spring can be an extended winter, but around May and June the weather get very nice and pleasant. Our summers can be hot and humid. But the best is Fall beautiful scenery and weather. We are very lucky to have 4 seasons that bring something for everyone.

Buses, bikes and walking is the best way to see the city.
Traffic can be heavy during 7am-9am and 4pm-6 pm. Cambridge is best seen on foot. It is a very walkable city. Bike can be rented across the street.
