Food scene

In 1870 a young Luis Graeter first started selling ice cream at Cincinnati street markets. It was his widow, Regina, that saw our legacy fully realized into the company you see today. Each generation since has taken the responsibility to uphold the commitment of making the best ice cream, 2 1/2 gallons at a time. Today, five generations later, we proudly remain a family owned and operated company, made possible thanks to our loyal fans.

Sorrento’s Norwood has been an icon in the Cincinnati community since it was founded by Enrico and Santina DeLuca in 1956. Papa Enrico emigrated from Italy and opened the little pizza restaurant adjacent to their home on Montgomery Rd, where the restaurant remains today. After working with fixtures in the restaurant business, Enrico felt comfortable enough to go into business for himself and serve up his family recipes. His goal was to deliver the best of Italy to all his guests. Though he spoke little English, Santina's food did all the talking! Sorrento’s boasts all the "staples" that made it famous. You will find all that you loved here in its original recipes. Pizza, pasta, freshly-made salads and sandwiches are just the beginning. There is even more to love with the unveiling of classic Italian dishes, appetizers and new salads that round out this "Italian Joint" . The wine and beer options have been expanded, and some catchy cocktails added in for good measure. The new outdoor bar and patio provide a relaxing and festive atmosphere, featuring a Bocce Ball court and a cozy fire pit.

Voted Best Burger - AOL City's Best " Best known for its huge, tasty burgers, Quatman's offers an uncomplicated menu of pub grub for cheap. Pair a burger with some fries and a mug of suds and you've got a meal for under six bucks. The draw here isn't the extensive menu, but the friendly service, neighborhood convenience, and ice cold Hudy Delight on tap."

This is a great place to go have a drink. The original ticket station from Union Terminal is the actual bar in Cincinnati's Historical Hilton Netherland Plaza Downtown; right off of Fountain square. Friday and Saturday nights they have piano playing and Saturday there is almost always a jazz band playing and if you like to dance there is a small dance floor for those who want to show off their classy moves. Its a gorgeous place to go grab a drink, appetizer, or dessert by famous pastry chef Megan Ketover.
