Turtle Bay, has a refreshment hut on the beach. The track up the mountain has a picnic site at the top, we took a pack up and stopped there for lunch. There are many tracks, use or take a map that has the picnic site marked. Akamas gorge. The gorge is well worth a visit the path is not difficult to negotiate, a pair of trainers would suffice for footwear. A few streams to cross by stepping stop boulders. Stunning rock formation, a camera of is recommended.
Hire an off road vehicle for the day and head off. You will see parts of the Island inaccessible to normal vehicles. Turtle beach, Akamas Gorge and the Akamas National Park, all unspoilt with stunning coastline. A fun day, bumpy roads most of the way but worth it if you want to see parts most tourists do not.
