There are many ticket automats directly in the underground station or you can get them in every tobacco shop called "TABAK TRAFIK". I would recommend to use the U3 and U1 mostly and not the U6 line as it could be a bit dangerous during night. There are nightlines on the weekends that drive the whole night.

Many waiters in restaurants and shops will always greet you with the words "GRÜSS GOTT" means "GREET GOD" which doesn´t mean that we are a very religious community it is just the most common words to say "Hi".

I would recommend you to download the App UBER or BOLT as it is cheaper and more common in Vienna. But anyway I wouldn´t drive during 4pm-7pm because there is the most traffic on the streets and it will get expensive.
