No trip to the county is complete without a visit the The Grange. Mother-Daughter Duo Caroline & Maggie Granger make some of the most beautiful and interesting wines in the county.
During Covid, the Grange has moved their tastings outdoors. You can order a tasting kit for a self-guided experience or order wine by the glass or a fantastic cocktail from the Old Salt mobile cocktail bar!

You may not know what to expect as you turn off County Road 12 onto the dirt road of Barker's Lane. Shortly down the laneway you will see the home of Matron Fine Beer - what appears to be a janky old warehouse (and we feel like we can say that, since one of their beers is called "Janky IPA") has a beautiful and modern interior with a stunning tasting bar. We highly recommend the Bobo Farmhouse Wheat!
Currently, you can order Matron's beer by the glass to sit on the patio (they also offer other beer, wine and N/A beverages!) and enjoy some BBQ; we recommend the burger!

Redtail Vineyards is a small winery off the beaten path in Consecon, 10 minutes from Fitzroy Fieldhouse and less than 5 minutes from Fitzroy Lakehouse. Their wines are handmade in small batches, with a focus on terroir and purity of fruit - producing some excellent Old-World style Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay.
During Covid, tastings are taking place outdoors. They are not currently offering food on-site, but encourage guests to bring their own. We suggest picking up a pizza or 2 from Stratos (less than 5 minutes away) to enjoy on the property during your tasting.
